Types of Student Emergency Grant, Eligibility & Process
Student Emergency Assistance Grant (SEAG) - Disclosure Only
- Demonstrate student need
- Do not need to be a US Citizen or Eligible Non-citizen
- May not have Federal /state repayments or overpayments
- Must not be enrolled Title IV eligible Programs
- Do not need to satisfy Financial Aid Satisfactory Academic Progress requirements
- Valid FAFSA / WASFA not required
- Aid can not apply to students tuition/fees balance and debts
- Aid may apply to 3rd-party vendors

HEERF I - Coronavirus Aid, Relief, and Economic Security Act (CARES) Exhausted/Expired
- Must be US Citizen or Eligible Non-citizen
- May not have Federal /state repayments or overpayments
- Must be enrolled Title IV eligible Programs
- Must meet Financial Aid Satisfactory Academic Progress requirements
- Must have a Highschool Diploma, GED or Equivalent
- School must receive valid FAFSA
- Aid can not apply to students tuition/fees balance and debts
- Aid may not apply to 3rd-party vendors
HEERF II -Coronavirus Response and Relief Supplemental Appropriations Act (CRRSAA) Exhausted/Expired
- Must be Citizen or Eligible Non-citizen
- May have Federal /state repayments or overpayments
- Do not need to be enrolled Title IV eligible Programs
- Do not need to satisfy Financial Aid Satisfactory Academic Progress requirements
- School must receive valid FAFSA
- Aid may apply to students tuition/fees balance and debts
- Aid may not apply to 3rd-party vendors
HEERF III - American Rescue Plan (ARP) Exhausted/Expired
- Must be Citizen or Eligible Non-citizen
- May have Federal /state repayments or overpayments
- Do not need to be enrolled Title IV eligible Programs
- Do not need to satisfy Financial Aid Satisfactory Academic Progress requirements
- School must receive valid FAFSA
- Aid may apply to students tuition/fees balance and debts
WA State Emergency Relief Grant for Undocumented Students Exhausted/Expired
- Demonstrate financial need
- Submitted the Washington Application for State Financial Aid (WASFA).
- Did not qualify for federally funded student financial aid because of their citizenship status.
- Have been enrolled or will be enrolling as a student in the 2020-21 academic year.
- Must meet Financial Aid Satisfactory Academic Progress requirements
Emergency Grant Prioritization, Disbursements & Notice
The funding amount is determined based on fund availability, program guideline, student eligibility, and allowable student’s budget up to the maximum of Pell Grant ($2,165.00).
Students must currently be enrolled and pursuing an educational plan, academic, career and professional advancement at RTC.
Students who did not receive emergency grant funds in the prior quarter have priority in receiving financial assistance.
If the student is eligible for any amount, the disbursement will be released as early as four (4) business days but no later than two (2) weeks. Please contact our department if you have not heard from us within this time frame.
Students will be notified via RTC student email after request has been reviewed.
