Workforce Education Funding Opportunities

You may be eligible for one of the programs below to get you started. For more information about these funding options, make an appointment at the Counseling and Advising Center; call (425) 235-5804 or stop by Building I. You can also visit Start Next Quarter to register for an orientation session.

Always start your search for funding by completing your FAFSA (Free Application for Federal Student Aid). Even if you think that you won’t qualify for financial aid, or that it won’t won’t be processed soon enough, completing your FAFSA is generally a requirement to qualify for other funding sources. In addition to the information on the FAFSA website, a Guide to Completing the FAFSA is available in the RTC Financial Aid Office, Room I-205.

Receiving unemployment compensation, or have exhausted unemployment compensation within the last 48 months.

Worker Retraining

Divorced or widowed, or your spouse has become unemployed within the last 48 months.

Worker Retraining for Displaced Homemakers

A veteran honorably separated from service within the last 48 months.

Worker Retraining and Veterans' Benefits

Receiving TANF cash assistance (Temporary Aid to Needy Families).

WorkFirst Financial Aid

Receiving or eligible to receive federal food assistance.

  • BUSINESS CAREERS - Accounting Clerk, Accounting Paraprofessional, Accounting Specialist
  • HEALTH CARE CAREERS - Anesthesia Technologist, Central Service Technician, Certified Nursing Assistant, Dental Assistant, Massage Therapy Practitioner, Medical Assistant, Medical Assistant/Phlebotomy, Pharmacy Technician, Registered Nursing (pre-requisite courses must have already been completed), Surgical Technologist (pre-requisite courses must have already been completed)
  • HEALTH CARE SUPPORT CAREERS - Health Care Navigator, Revenue Management Specialist, Medical Coding Specialist
  • AUTOMOTIVE CAREERS - Automotive Maintenance and Light Repair, Automotive Technology, Auto Body Repair & Refinishing, Automotive/FORD Asset
  • TECHNOLOGY CAREERS - Cloud Network Technology, Computer Science (DTA-Computer Science program is not eligible)
  • TRADES - Welding, Multi-Occupational Trades, Property Maintenance, Commercial Building Engineering, Construction Management (DTA-Construction Management program is not eligible)
