RTC students should be aware of new requirements before registering for classes starting Winter Quarter.

As part of a new statewide requirements, students must complete a Student Financial Responsibility Agreement (SFRA) before signing up for classes. The SFRA outlines student financial obligations and responsibilities to attend Renton Technical College. Students can complete the SFRA in their ctcLink account. The requirement takes effect Oct. 24, 2025, and the form must be completed annually.

The SFRA:

  • Informs students of their financial responsibilities when enrolling in classes
  • Helps students understand payment obligations
  • Reduces the risk of default
  • Assists colleges in complying with legal requirements
  • Simplifies and standardizes financial processes across Washington

In ctcLink, a Financial Agreement hold will prevent enrollment until the agreement is signed. Once completed, the hold will be automatically released.

Students under 18, Continuing Education students, and Department of Corrections students are excluded.

If you have any questions about the SFRA, contact the Business Office at studentfinancials@rtc.edu.
