Longtime community college administrator Dr. Stephanie Delaney is the new Vice President for Instruction at Renton Technical College. She assumed her new role Aug. 5.
Delaney previously served as Dean of Academic Programs at South Seattle College; Dean of the Center for Extended Learning at Seattle Central College; and Director of eLearning at Cascadia College. She has taught at Seattle University, Seattle Central, Highline College, and Olympic College. She has a doctorate in Higher Education Administration and Distance Learning from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln, a law degree from the University of San Diego School of Law, and a master of studies in Environmental Law from Vermont Law School.
RTC President Kevin McCarthy said Delaney is the right choice to lead RTC’s instructional efforts and faculty.
“Stephanie is a thoughtful, innovative, collaborative leader who champions faculty and is beloved in Student Services,” McCarthy said. “She empowers those around her, and her ideas are infused with how to better serve students.”
She is proud to join the College and advance its mission and core goals of learning, equity, and community.
“RTC has an incredible reputation for service to students, and I’m excited to be a part of the team doing that work,” Delaney said.
