Certificate of Completion
This program meets both Washington State and federal curriculum requirements for Nursing Assistant Certification. Once certified, graduates are eligible for employment in hospitals, clinics, long-term care facilities, retirement/assisted living facilities, adult family homes, and in-home health care.

OTHER INFORMATION
RTC Nursing Assistant Program is approved by the Department of Health (DOH) and the Washington State Board of Nursing (WABON).
To be admitted to the Nursing Assistant Program, a prospective student must meet the following requirements:
- Minimum age: 16 years at time of enrollment
- English Fluency (verbal and written)
Upon invitation and acceptance to the Nursing Assistant Program, students must provide a Washington State Patrol Criminal History Report.
Screening and Tracking Requirements
After invitation to the program, students must meet vaccination and program-specific health requirements in compliance with the Center for Disease Control Healthcare Provider immunization guidelines, including the submission of original lab results, x-ray reports, and immunization records, which must be dated and signed by their healthcare provider.
*Vaccinations must be current while on externships
- Tuberculosis 2 step test or negative QuantiFERON test
- American Heart Association Basic Life Saving Provider card
- Current seasonal Influenza vaccine
- Current background check through the Washington State Patrol Criminal History Report
- Personal health insurance upon entry and for the duration of the program
- Ability to lift a minimum of 50 pounds and to reach overhead
- Ability to stand or walk for long periods
- Ability to perform multiple tasks simultaneously
- Must meet any additional requirements by the Clinical Placement site which may vary depending on the site
