If you are currently a registered sex offender seeking to enroll at Renton Technical College, please read over our Sex Offender Notification Policy and Procedure. We have made updates to this policy as of 2024 that include important changes in how you can enroll.

Time Sensitive Enrollment

Level 1 and 2 offenders must provide 14 calendar days notice to enrollment to the Director of Security and/or the Dean of Student Success.

Level 3 offenders must provide 30 calendar days’ notice to enrollment to the Director of Security and/or the Dean of Student Success.

Required Documentation

All registered sex offenders must provide:

  • A copy of their judgement and sentencing
  • Contact information for their Community Corrections Officer
  • Notice of any stipulations ordered by the court, Law Enforcement Office, or Community Corrections Officer relating to their release.
  • Quarterly Check-in

After enrollment, all registered sex offenders must check in quarterly with the Director of Security for updated faculty notification.

Enrollment at RTC without following procedures above and outlined in RTC’s Sex Offender Notification Policy and Procedure may result in a drop from enrolled courses and/or possible violation of the RTC Student Conduct Code and Hearing Procedures.
